Boxing Champion

Lam Beaton, in Year 10, excelled in his chosen sport of boxing during the recent holiday.

The Ho Chi Minh City inter-district boxing competition ran from 1st - 5th April 2013 at Nha Thi Dau Phu Tho Stadium. Lam, who trains with and represents Phan Dinh Phung Club in District 3, fought on the second day of competition and reached the final of his category on 4th April, beating his opponent to win for his district.

Lam fights in the 15-16 year old age group in the under 57 kg category.  17-18 year old competitors also took part with a 45-75 kg weight range.  Lam trains every day for 2 ½ hours except Sundays.   In addition, he works out in the gym for another 30 minutes each night, showing true dedication and perseverance.  Training is a part of his life and even when he’s watching television, it's combined with exercises.

This extra effort combined with his completely focussed mental approach makes the difference and has helped Lam to championship form.

  2. You actually make it look so easy with your performance but I find this matter to be actually something which I think I would never comprehend. It seems too complicated and extremely broad for me. I'm looking forward for your next post, I’ll try to get the hang of it! muaythai
