Helmets for Kids

Year 9 students have been working on their Helmets for Kids campaigns during ILS over the past few weeks. Though we ran a very successful campaign last year, the Year 9s agreed that there is a need to come up with new and innovative ideas to impress on everyone the importance of wearing a helmet. The first part of their education programme was to head over the bridge to AP1. The message to pupils in Year 6 about wearing a helmet was loud and clear. Many Year 6s admitted that they did not wear their helmets… The Year 9s instructed the method of how to wear a helmet correctly and the consequences of not wearing a helmet. They employed a wonderful array of methods to get their message across including presentations, discussions, films, use of technology, games, quizzes and demonstrations.

We look forward to seeing the follow-up to this in AP2 during the HFK Campaign week organised by the Year 9 students from October 29th.
