As our Year 11 and 13 students are starting the examination season in earnest, I offer two “Websites of the Week” to provide advice and reassurance to parents and students alike.
The second, from the parent site, “mumsnet”. This wonderfully irreverent site is amusing, but usually hits home with direct, well-researched advice:
This week I also include, in full, an article from The Guardian newspaper which is related to study and parenting. It raises significant questions about the effect of technology in teenagers’ bedrooms.
Any one of these articles can provide a stimulus for a conversation with your son or daughter, so do take time to read them.
Our Year 12 students will give the Year 11s a good send off by running a session on study tips this Friday. Year 12 students, with recent experience of their own IGCSEs, will offer advice on how to make the best use of the study period.
