The Love School

The first week back for the Love School saw us getting to know and playing team games with the children in the auditorium. The Love School children and our students got involved and tried their best. This week we divided up into two groups and spent the session learning some classic English action songs. The idea was that learning the songs and actions would help the Love School children to build some basic English vocabulary as well as being a lot of fun! The two songs we were learning this week were “If you’re happy and you know it” and “Incey Wincey Spider”. The BIS student volunteers were patient, kind and helpful as they attempted to teach the Love School children the words and tunes of the song and it seemed to all come together when we had a singalong at the end. Apologies to anyone in the room below 224 – everyone must have been very happy as there was a lot of foot stamping going on!
