Badminton Tournament – Saturday 17th November
On Saturday 17th November 10 students (5 boys and 5 girls) were selected to represent BIS in an U14 badminton tournament hosted by CIS. The tournament saw participants playing doubles matches with all other players taking part. Matches lasted five minutes and the individual with the most wins at the end of the competition was crowned champion.

The girls’ tournament took place first, and with it brought a display of high-quality games with exceptional shots and agility around the court. The BIS girls all played extremely well, exhibiting a range of complex shots and tactical awareness of the game. These performances ensured BIS dominated the tournament. Notable, individual recognition should go to Subhomita Bhaksi finishing in first place and Anna Huynh a close second, both girls demonstrating excellent court coverage and shot variation throughout the competition.

After a fantastic start to the tournament the boys were keen to replicate BIS success. With some outstanding players from all schools entered, an exciting and close competition followed. Again, individuals demonstrated exceptional athletic ability on the court and a variety of well executed shots throughout.
A playoff took place for first prize, Luan Pham being one of the contenders. Luan was on form throughout the tournament and the playoff was no different, winning comfortably to take first place.

A well-contended and enjoyable tournament with exceptional performances from all our students. Congratulations and well done to all who participated.
