From The Head Teacher

Life in Technicolour

Yesterday I spent an enormously enjoyable evening being entertained by some very talented musicians.  The theme of ‘colour’ ran through the performances, which ranged from choirs, orchestras, big band, rock, drumming and ukulele.  Musical genres were equally wide-ranging, encompassing jazz, to classical, to contemporary pop and traditional folk.  The compositions even included original pieces by the musicians themselves.  It is rare in any city, and particularly special for HCMC, to have such a range of talent performing at the same venue on the same night.  What is most remarkable is that all  these musicians are BIS students, aged 5 to 18.  Well done to all performers and thank you for a wonderful evening.

Assembly on You Tube

Last Friday in BISbuzz you received some information about the British Schools Overseas inspection that will take place here at BIS next week.

On Monday morning I spoke to students about this inspection in an assembly.  You can watch the assembly yourselves on our school You Tube channel by clicking this link or copying it into the address bar on your web-browser:

I hope you enjoy the message.

Student Enrolment Forecast

Last week the BISbuzz email had a Student Enrolment Forecast form attached, for you to complete to   indicate your intentions for the next academic year.  This is an important part of our forward planning so please do complete and return as requested.  Students will bring home paper copies today.
